What exactly is mudjacking and how do you do it?
Mudjacking is an inexpensive technique using a concrete (“mud”) mixture to raise and level concrete slabs. By drilling small, 1 inch holes in a concrete slab, then pumping a grout mixture under the slab, we are able to raise it until level. Once the proper height has been achieved, the holes are then filled with more concrete, and the slab is able to be walked on immediately.

Why do I need my concrete leveled?

How much money will I save by mudjacking instead of replacing the concrete?
The simple answer: a lot! Most mudjacking services are half, if not a third, the cost of replacing concrete.
Why is my concrete no longer level / sinking?
There are several factors that can cause your concrete to sink, however the underlying reason is that there is a problem with the soil beneath your slab. Soil erosion or compression are two main reasons for a sinking slab. Water can naturally erode soil beneath the slab. The weight of the concrete slab can also cause the soil to compress over time due to the weight of the concrete. Leaking pipes, improper drainage and burrowing animals can all do a number on the soil as well. The good news it that mudjacking can address all of these issues.
What do you mean by a “void” beneath the concrete?
A void is the empty space created beneath your slab by any number of environmental factors. The void is the empty space we fill to bring your concrete slab back to its original height.
Could rodents be to blame?
Rodent tunnels are definitely a possibility. Some rodents, like woodchucks and chipmunks, dig tunnels or nests that can cause the concrete above to buckle, crack or settle.
What is the benefit of mudjacking over concrete replacement?
Concrete replacement is a labor and time intensive, not to mention messy, process. The cost of ripping out, then replacing, concrete slabs costs two to three times more than mudjacking. Newly poured concrete takes days to set, then nearly a month to cure to full strength! Mudjacking repairs can be walked on immediately after the project is finished, with minimal disturbance (if any) to your surrounding areas. How much time does mudjacking take?

Will someone have to be home for you to mudjack?

Why should I level my concrete instead of replacing it?
Unless your concrete is heavily cracked, damaged or otherwise degraded, concrete leveling will cost about 1/2 to 1/3 that of concrete replacement. Mudjacking has minimal down time, taking only a day or less to complete, and the cement can be walked on immediately. Mudjacking is the economical alternative to the long, messy, expensive process of complete concrete replacement.
How much noise, dust and debris will there be?
Mudjacking equipment consists of two main items: the drill and the pump. Each of these produce about the same amount of noise as a standard lawnmower. As for dust, concrete dust is created when the holes are drilled, or more if the cement needs to be sawed. However, the dust can be minimized using water and cleaned up easily.
How much space do you require for mudjacking?

Will my yard or sprinklers be damaged?
Sprinkler heads will not be damaged by any of our equipment. However, if you yard is saturated due to rain or watering, the equipment may cause a rut in the soft dirt.
Will the mudjacking process crack my concrete?
Cracking concrete is a possibility when mudjacking, however hiring the best professionals minimizes the chances. Most times, the cracks that appear when mudjacking were already present on the bottom of the concrete slab, but not visible from above. The moving of the concrete slab can cause those cracks to enlarge. However, our professional techniques will not cause new cracks.
What number of holes can I expect?
The number of holes will vary, depending on the type of void or voids and the area to be lifted.
Will the patched holes be the same color as my concrete?
Fresh concrete is a light colors, so unless the concrete we are mudjacking is fairly new, chances are the patches will be lighter in color. However, as the concrete weathers with time, they will more closely match your existing slab. If you have colored concrete that we are lifting, we will try our best to match the color for you.

What will happen if I don’t mudjack?
Water damage, foundation issues, cracked concrete and tripping injuries can all be caused by uneven concrete. Continuing to let your concrete sink further can lead to the concrete cracking or crumbling, meaning you would have to pay at least double to get it replaced. How can I prevent concrete from sinking?
Making sure the soil beneath a slab is completely compacted is the first step to making sure your concrete does not sink. It is also important that all outdoor ground slopes away from your house so that water drains away. However, leaking or faulty drainage can cause soil erosion. Making sure that these systems are in full working order will reduce these risks.
Does mudjacking lower concrete slabs?
Mudjacking is the process of raising concrete, however cement grinding can be used to lower a slab of concrete. Mudjacking can also be used to raise surrounding concrete to the level of the adjacent slab so they are even.
Can you level my sidewalk if tree roots have caused it to lift?
If the tree roots can simply caused soils displacement, then yes, we can fix the slab. However, if the tree root directly lifted the cement, then we will not be able to lower it.
What is “grinding”? When do you use it?
Concrete grinding uses equipment to shave down the existing concrete until it is level with the surrounding slabs. This process can be used when mudjacking is not a viable option.
How long will your services last?
